Pamana Tagaytay

Over the course of our Tagaytay anniversary getaway, we went to Pamana for lunch. It is one of Happy Ongpauco's many businesses. She's a restauranteur and hotelier from the 3rd Generation Barrio Fiesta clan. In Pamana's menu, it opens with a brief introduction from Happy about their cuisine:

"I am proud of the legacy my family has handed down to me -- 100 years of delicious and authentic Filipino food derived from passion for cooking and love for the family. I thank my loved ones and friends who have inspired me, passing onto me their family secrets and sharing with me their way of celebrating life. Now, I present to you this timeless collection of dishes that has been handed down from generation to generation, a treasured selection of heirloom recipes that has brought my family and other families together, forming joyful and loving memories on the dining table."

I love the interiors of Pamana. It is just so picturesque. Notice how the dining chairs don't really match but they are perfect for the old family house look that I think Pamana is aiming for.

Cute concept of a wall filled with frames. Their frames are lovely, and they are filled with photos of family and friends of the Ongpauco clan.

We chose to sit by the second floor balcony. It can easily seat a big group of up to 12 people.

Nilagang Bulalo, P575
Normally, I'm not a big fan of Bulalo but Pamana's version is one of the best bulalos I've tried in my entire life. The soup was enough to feed our group of 7 adults. The meat was soft and can easily be sliced off the bone. The warm soup was perfect for Tagaytay's cool weather. They will easily refill your soup too. All you need to do is ask one of the servers.

Sinuglaw na  Maliputo, P350
Barrio Pinakbet, P300
Pandan Iced Tea
The building is composed of 3 floors. We went up to the third floor, and we saw a roof deck where you can host private parties.

If you're craving for classic Filipino dishes when you're up in Tagaytay, Pamana is a good bet. They have beautiful interiors, excellent food and good customer service.
