Ask, Seek, Knock

Earlier today, I was overwhelmed by God's grace. I was thinking about my online shop and how I wished more sales would come in, and I quickly said a little prayer to Him. I simply asked, "Father God, can you bring me more sales today?"

I didn't expect so much out of it since I usually include prayers for the business in my everyday prayer in general. Yet, God's response astounded me.

Within hours, my site suddenly had a lot of activity. There were inquiries from customers left and right. I even closed a sale within minutes, and several others intending to close the sale soon. The site was recommended on Breastfeeding Pinays, a large community of breastfeeding moms and advocates with over 10,000 members. I didn't even know people were talking about the site until a mommy friend sent me a text about it. I was just out and about with my family, not expecting that today was going to be a MEGA-sales day.

See, I realized that there are things God is doing for us EVERYDAY in our lives but most of the times we completely miss that it was from Him. There are times that we worry about "worldly" issues like finances, relationships, sickness and a lot more. These are times when we neglect to see that in ALL times, God is in control of our lives. We may not have the life we want right here and right now, but we can put all our worries to rest knowing that God will NEVER fail us.

Pastor Jeric Soriano, our pastor in New Life Church, always says that whenever you feel like you're going to worry, just look at the birds and remember this from the Bible:

Matthew 6:25-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Yes! God is indeed amazing. And e's good in timing too! I also forget to pray for out business and to be honest, I'm usually arrogant about my prayers and miss out on what I should be praying for. Thanks for the blog. We also go to New Life btw, but in Market Market.
